The Adsense Rip Off
On a site like this, the only way I can make any coin is through Adsense. The few Ads I post on this page, are the only ads on this page. Adsense doesn't pay me to put Ads here. After all, it doesn't know if anyone will visit this blog, if anyone will click on an Ad. Hence it is my choice how many or how few Ads I will paste.
It is rather different when it comes to those sites which Adsense pays to house its Ads.

Hubpages, Xomba and their kin
.............
Hubpages, as mentioned in other articles is a fairly popular site. There is some publicity given to articles, and considering the quantity, the fear of being a "Content Farm" quite a number of people know of it.
Hubpages pays nothing for articles. All revenue comes from Adsense.

Xomba is a smaller, less popular, and rarely used site which takes 60% of all Ad revenue. This means one usually gets nothing for this work.
Like other Adsense only sites, it is free money for the owner.
Doing nothing, fools post articles and network them, and the owner does nothing except cash his cheque. If there is one.

Other Sites
The much maligned Triond pays double...there is Adsense and there is also money from the site.
Wikinut pays only from the site and works on hits.
Though it may seem one is getting so much less from these sites, in truth one gets a consistent pittance.
Before one wastes a key stroke, knows how they are getting paid, if they are getting paid.

Many sites are paid to house the Ads. Receiving coin from advertisers for your work it is contemptible that they would think to take 60% of the writer's remuneration.
But the level of rip-off on the Internet, primarily in writing impels those who need to write to create their own Blogs.
